ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
This module presents and explains design through the expression of the perception of ‘self’ and the body, construction and materiality in terms of tectonics. Students undertake a series of studio-based exercises and assignments that introduces the fundamental methods, principles and approaches in design thinking and basic spatial design. This is enhanced with the understanding of anthropometrics and designing intrapersonal space with creative exercise involving the body movements and experiences of the user.

Architectural Design 1
Geometry and Form:
Expressions through Architectural Design Elements & Principles
We were required to explore basic understandings of the architectural design elements and principles, processes, and approaches in generating ideas, developing design through creating geometric 2D artworks and transform them into 3D form, from tattoo stamps to models.
Tectonics:
Design Principles, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration Isolation Structure
We were required to work with several materials to understand the nature and characteristics of these materials and how it is to be used in our design to create and design a structure for self-isolation and to express our personal experiences during this pandemic period, that accommodated a static banal action.
Interpretation and Representation:
Principles, Tectonics and Sensory – Sensory Space
We were required to look back at our tectonic structure and further develop it to a Sensory Space to anticipate and accommodate users’ needs and emotions to answer the question ''how does the user response to the design?''
