ARCHITECTURE HISTORY AND THEORY
In this module, students are subjected to the chronological history of ancient architecture ranging spanning the Neolithic Age to the modern era. As such, students will expand their architectural vocabulary, knowledge of various styles and periods as well as their respective architectural interpretations.

REFLECTION & PERSPECTIVE
Looking back on the lectures, assessments, and projects given during this semester, I am very grateful that the many obstacles and difficulties that have arisen due to the MCO at hand were minimized as best as possible, thanks to the continued cooperation between the lecturers and tutors and students. Although not as effective as face-to-face sessions in the studio, I understand that the current situation mandates that online learning has become the new norm. As such, I appreciate the great lengths and effort undergone by the lecturers and tutors.
I also recognize the efforts of my tutors and module coordinators to provide online learning, even preparing lecture slides and setting up submission boxes punctually and in great detail. They have been very diligent in ensuring a seamless learning experience throughout the semester.
PROJECTS
SKETCHING ANALYSIS
We were required to conduct research and sketching analyses regarding several important historical buildings. Throughout the analysis, we had to employ various architectural vocabularies to refer to specific styles, features, and periods. As such, the analysis was expected to display a clear chronology of architectural representations.
COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS REPORT
In this report, students were expected to, as a group, produce an illustrative booklet depicting two selected historical buildings in the modern Malaysian context to clearly display their architectural features and influences. Appropriate architectural vocabulary was expected and students had to consider the various design factors contributing to the buildings' final forms.
